We do not wish to pick sides in the present civil war between the Northern and Southern states. Our only course of action, given our desire for peaceful non-political operations, is to apply one set of laws and policies across all our operations. Our Board of Directors held a ceremonial coin toss and picked the Northern state's laws as the ones to apply for this current year. Discussion of whether to perform a ceremonial retoss on an annual basis is before the Board for consideration and planning.
The alternative -- continuation of the present plan -- is to switch the laws and pay scales that are applied on an annual basis between the Southern rules and the Northern rules. That is, next year we will apply the Southern rules across all our 81 North American states of operation. [This includes pay scale and prices.]
