More Housing Bubble Fuel, Veterans Want 3 Percent Down Not 5

Emergency EmergencyEmergency

SB193
Senate Bill 193 (at the request of Governor Theodore R. Kulongoski for the Office of the Governor) SUMMARY Increases maximum allowable veterans' home loan amount. Declares emergency, effective on passage.

So. What's the emergency? Veterans who can come up with 3 percent but not 5 percent down payment to buy a house at the very tippy top of the housing bubble. The realtors, appraisers, mortgage brokers, property tax collectors are acting just like a bunch of stock analysts.

My advice -- wait 2 to 4 years and buy at 50 to 80% of the current price. I could be wrong, but. . .
