The Nader campaign effort to invoke the court is characterized as frivolous by the Democratic party. This is absurd. The signiture gathering process has an early cut off time specifically to ALLOW court action if needed. In this case the Nader campaign could go get 219 new signitures easier than going to court.

Oregon Democratic Party Chairman Jim Edmunson said that any lawsuit filed in state court at this point would be frivolous after a federal judge ruled that Bradbury had authority to decide the validity of signatures in an earlier lawsuit filed by Nader supporters.
